One Stop Shoulder Clinic

It is essential that shoulder injuries are diagnosed and treated appropriately as soon as possible on clinical examination and confirmed by ultrasound scanning or x-ray of the shoulder.

A One Stop Shoulder Clinic was therefore set up working closely with our specially trained Sonographer who can carry out x-ray and/or ultrasound of the shoulder on the same day. This enables not only clinical examination, but initiates investigation and treatment during the one visit. This enables treatment to commence quicker and also saves the patient time and stress by visiting the clinic less.

It has proved extremely successful and the One Stop Shoulder Clinic is available by appointment on Tuesday afternoons at the Nuffield Hospital and Thursday afternoons at the Hartswood Hospital.
